The Toledo Bend Reservoir is located on the Sabine River, which forms the boundary between Texas and Louisiana. The reservoir is the largest man made lake in the south and encompasses 185,000 acres of Texas and Louisiana. The reservoir provides the area with hydroelectric power, fresh water and more bass than any other lake in Texas. With over 1200 miles of coastline, Toledo Bend Reservoir offers unlimited opportunity for recreational development and activity. The waters of Toledo Bend have been accurately described as the Black Bass capitol of the world. One of the top five Striper lakes in Texas, the lake offers every challenge and reward the angler dreams of. You will have the opportunity to catch some of the greatest fish available, predominatly bass but nearly every freshwater fish. Come with or wtihout your fishing liscense because you can purchase your liscense at the general store. The store also stocks everything you will need for your vacation and fishing trip, from bait to ice, to food and beverages and even boat mantinance items. We want you to feel at home and get the most out of your trip here, so professional guides are also available. Not only do we offer you the greatest fishing experience, we welcome and want you to bring your entire fishing club or host your next fishing tournament here. We specialize in large groups and corporate events. At the end of the day you can cook up what you catch and feed your family and friends with our large cookhouse and pavilion or in the privacy of your own fully furnished cabin.
